I’m thinking of starting a new series of posts called Verses to Cling To. What do you think?
Here are the verses I clinged… clung… (whatever) to when I was disappointed month after month of negative tests.
Let’s start at the beginning…
“God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it…'” Genesis 1:28
“And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.” Genesis 9:1
GOD SAID IT! (And several times I might add) He said have kids! You can hold to that, that He will bless you in His time!
They rose early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord; then they went back to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her. And in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said, “I have asked for him from the Lord.” 1 Samuel 1:19-20
Just like Rebekah, Noah’s family, Adam and Eve, Hannah and a ton of others in the bible, through prayer, petition and thanks God will bless you.
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” Psalm 127:3
